Every song that is part of the 2008 Weekly Song Experiment was recorded as an improvisation while adhering to self-imposed limitations. Each song was written and recorded in a small room over the course of a week using only one microphone and free audio applications. Each piece of music/song had it's length limited to two minutes and thirty seconds.
As I ended week six, I was thinking about week seven and I decided that I wanted to write a short, to the point song about my son, Daniel. I think that's what I accomplished. Halfway through the week I thought it would be a good idea if my wife were to sing the song with me. She was very nervous, but I think she did an incredible job.
Daniel, on the other hand, isn't sure about the song since there are no storm troopers or lego Indiana Jones in it.
lyrics
Lyrics
my son, you are the king.
my son, you are the thing that keeps me calm.
my son, you save the day.
my son, you get away with everything.
my son, you steal their hearts.
my son, you can't be stopped from growing up.
