Every song that is part of the 2008 Weekly Song Experiment was recorded as an improvisation while adhering to self-imposed limitations. Each song was written and recorded in a small room over the course of a week using only one microphone and free audio applications. Each piece of music/song had it's length limited to two minutes and thirty seconds.
Remembering back to week five, I recall not having any time to breathe, let alone write, record and mix a song. This one really came down to the wire. In fact, this song is completely improv and done in one night. It was Sunday night and my self-imposed deadline was at midnight.
The song features a Nord Electro 2 grand piano patch and a mellotron flute sample. The piano was played in one pass off-the-cuff and the delayed guitar and mellotron were added right after that.
